The Random Name Chooser allows people to choose a random name from a list of names. The draw is anonymous so that only the chooser knows who they picked.
To set up your own list, login or create an account. Once logged in, click the Random Name tab in your account profile.
To customize your list, go to Settings and
- add a Group name
- toggle on Enable couple letter to avoid having couples pick each other
- add Instructions for participants, including an optional image using the Upload image from computer button
- note the Link to send to participants, which you will send to all the participants once your list is ready
To add names, click Add Names and enter each name and a password for that name. This makes the list truly anonymous, as only the participant can see who they selected. Be sure to send the password with the link so that the participants can view their selected name.
Delete List will delete all the names from the list to start over or clear your list.
The first name match that is selected will assign all the name matches. Administrators can then choose View Match to assist participants that need help.
Adding or Deleting a name, after the selection has begun, will clear all the matches and participants will need to go back and view their new match.
