Sample XHTML Document

The following is a simple, basic web document that includes some common HTML tags. Use any text editor including Wordpad, Notepad++, TextEdit, SimpleText, EMACS, VI or any application that can save files as ASCII text (text only). You can also select it with your mouse then copy and paste it into your text editor to avoid typing. Place your mouse over any tag for a short description. When saving the document be very careful to save it as a text document without any formatting. Also add an .html (or .htm) extension, for example index.html.
